Introduction

Welcome to the homepage of the Veterans' Lawn Tennis Club of Great Britain.  This website is primarily for the use of members, but non-members who are interested in learning more about the Club are also welcome. Members are encouraged to view the match fixture list and make contact with the relevant match organiser early if they would like to be considered for team selection.

The club was formed in 1958 after the idea was initiated by Dennis Coombe and Tom Todd. Original membership requirements included being born in the British Isles or Ireland, aged 45 or over, having competed at the Championships at Wimbledon, having won an event at an open tournament or having played for one's country.  The qualifications have subsequently been amended.
